Do you require a sound check or dress rehearsal?

Nope! FogoAzul NYC is an acoustic drumline and doesn't require amplification or a sound check. If you request a dress rehearsal or sound check, additional fees will apply.

What do you need to perform at an event?

We require a secure place for personal belongings, a private changing area, access to bathrooms, and drinking water. Snacks are a nice bonus!

Can you split the band across the venue?

No. For sound and energy purposes, FogoAzul NYC performs as one unit. We cannot be split across multiple areas.

Do you drum on stairs?

For safety reasons, we do not drum while ascending or descending stairs.

Can I request specific outfits or costumes?

You're welcome to request specific costumes, but you'll be responsible for all costs, logistics, and procurement. Otherwise, we choose our performance attire.

What if my event is outside New York City?

If your event is not accessible via public transportation within NYC’s five boroughs, you must cover transportation expenses like rental vans, car services, or buses.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes! We carry general liability insurance. If additional coverage is required, you’ll need to cover the cost of those premiums.

Do I need a permit for an outdoor event?

If your event is outdoors in a public space, we may request a copy of your city-issued permit for the performance area.

Can we schedule a Zoom meeting to discuss details?

We prefer quick phone calls over Zoom. If needed, please keep calls under 15 minutes as all members of FogoAzul NYC have full-time jobs.

💵 Our Rates

Every gig is different. Rates vary based on location, event type, number of sets, and how long we’re on-site.

We don’t need a sound check or dress rehearsal because we are acoustic only, and all drums are carried on our bodies. But, if you want one, it’ll cost extra in addition to the performance fee.

If your event isn’t in the 5 boroughs or public transit accessible, you’ll need to cover our travel costs (van rentals, car services, etc.) in addition to the performance fee.
