Brooklyn Pride Center Comic Book Fair
Celebrate Pride after the Mermaid Parade as Fogo Azul brings our badass Brazilian beat to the Brooklyn Pride Comic Book Fair 2025 in Crown Heights!
Noon-6:00pm: LGBTQIA+ comic book fair! Free and open to the public!
6:30pm: Fogo Azul leads the way along Union Street from the Brooklyn Community Pride Center to the after party at Whoopsie Daisy.

NYC Dyke March
This year the NYC Dyke March will step off from Bryant Park at 5pm on June 28 and continue down 5th Avenue to Washington Square Park.
Thousands of Dykes take the streets each year in celebration of beautiful and diverse Dyke lives, to highlight the presence of Dykes within our community, and in protest of the discrimination, harassment, and violence faced in schools, on the job, and in our communities.
Fogo Azul will march the whole route ending in the park with a set of powerful rhythms.

4th of July Parade in Ridgefield Park NJ
Happy 4th of July! Fogo Azul will be marching in one of the oldest 4th of July parades in the United States!
Come celebrate Independence Day with Ridgefield Park’s small-town vibes and Fogo’s big-boom beats!
Parade starts at 11:30 from Preston St. and Hudson Ave.

Sleepy Hollow Mermaid Festival
The Sleepy Hollow Mermaid Festival is a community celebration that encourages Hudson River access and education. There will be art-making, music, performances, bounce houses, food trucks, a costume contest, a mermade marketplace, and a parade on land and water. All are invited to this FREE family-friendly festival!

Queens Night Market
The Queens Night Market is a large, family-friendly open-air night market in Queens, featuring over 100 independent vendors selling merchandise, art, and food and featuring small-scale cultural performances, all celebrating the rich cultural diversity and heritage of NYC and Queens. Queens Night Market begins at 4:00pm.

Jersey City Pride
Welcome to the Jersey City LGBTQ+ Pride Festival
The Jersey City LGBTQ+ Pride Festival is more than just a single-day celebration—it is a year-round movement that champions diversity, inclusivity, and LGBTQ+ visibility. As we honor August as Jersey City LGBTQ+ Pride Month, the festival serves as a powerful symbol of unity, equality, and the vibrant spirit of our community.
Fogo Azul joins the annual parade on August 25, 2025. Head over and dance to Fogo Azul’s Brazilian samba-reggae rhythms!

Sunnyside Pride
March and dance to the roaring samba reggae of Fogo Azul as we drum through the heart of Sunnyside, concluding with a celebration featuring more performers, yummy food and refreshments, and a Queer Makers Mart.
Fogo Azul leads the march from the Sunnyside Arch to Lowery Plaza right after remarks from elected officials and community leaders!

Queens Pride Parade
2025 is the 33rd anniversary of Queens Pride! Found in 1993, it is held annually on the first Sunday in June, in the neighborhood of Jackson Heights. The parade is followed by a multicultural festival!

DUMBO Drop
#DUMBODROP is an Annual Tradition where thousands of toy elephants parachute down from the skies of Dumbo onto our cobblestoned Washington Street - Brooklyn’s most iconic block. Plus, there's an epic block party with kids activities, restaurant row and more!
All proceeds from ticket sales go directly to Dumbo’s Title 1 public schools, PS307 Elementary + The Dock Street Middle School.

Gotham FC: Opening Day
Come see Fogo Azul cheer on Gotham FC, the 2023 champion of the NWSL/National Women’s Soccer League, in the battle of the season at their home opener against the 2024 champion, the Orlando Pride. Fan Fest begins at 2:30 with gate giveaways, face painting, glitter tattoos, soccer activities, and more. Go Gotham! Blue out!

United Airlines Half Marathon
Join Fogo Azul as we drum for and cheer on the the runners in this thrilling 13.1-mile race. Fogo Azul will be stationed at E. 42nd St and Vanderbilt Ave. near iconic Grand Central Station. We’ll be out there early. Start time is 8:15am and we’ll play until around 11:30am. We’d love to see you there!

St. Pat's For All Parade
Fogo Azul will be marching in the 2025 St. Pat’s For All Parade!
We return once again to Skillman Avenue and the hospitable communities of Sunnyside and Woodside for an inclusive clebration of Irish culture and heritage.
Music and remarks will begin at 12pm, and the parade will step off at 1pm.

Favela Fridays: Carnaval Kickoff
Fogo Azul is performing at the opening night of Favela Fridays at Sounds of Brazil to kick off CARNAVAL WEEKEND bringing Rio to New York City on Fri, Feb 28th with baile funk DJs, live percussion, late night caipirinha happy hour, a batucada ensemble, and samba dancers.

Governors Island Ice Carving Competition
Governors Island Arts presents the fourth annual Governors Island Ice Sculpture Show with a special performance by Fogo Azul at 2pm!
The event is free and open to all, no registration or tickets required.

Three Kings Day Parade with El Museo del Barrio
Come see FogoAzul NYC at El Museo del Barrio’s Three Kings Day Parade in East Harlem (El Barrio).
The Parade will kick off at 106th Street and Park Avenue, winding its way through the streets of El Barrio to culminate at 115th Street and Park Avenue. Spectators can expect a spectacular display of live music, colorful costumes, camels, floats, giant puppets, and the participation of thousands of students and community members.

Coney Island New Years Day Polar Bear Plunge
Join FogoAzul as we cheer on the 122nd Coney Island Polar Bear Club New Year’s Day Plunge! We love drumming for the polar bears— come see us send them off into the cold cold ocean!

Come see FogoAzul at the Gotham FC Women's Soccer game! We play at noon at the Fan Fest outside the stadium, then a pre-game show at 12:45pm on the field! Stay for the game as we join the Cloud 9 Fans in section 101!!!!

QUIP Music Festival
QUIP, Queens United International Party is coming! Come see an amazing line up of local music groups, and see FogoAzul NYC at 7pm!
The Queens United International Party [QUIP] is an annual, day-long celebration of the cultures and music of the New York City borough of Queens.
As one of the nation's most diverse places (with over 120 countries represented and 135 official languages spoken) Queens is “the world’s borough”.
Nowhere is this more evident than in its music, art and culture.
Established in 2017 at Sunnyside Gardens Park (Sunnyside, Queens) by a coalition of neighborhood residents,
QUIP has grown each year to feature more incredible music from around the world and around the corner.

StepOUTSide Festival!
StepOUTSide Festival in Marsha P. Johnson Park! Clothing swap too! This year we are also celebrating Marsha P. Johnson's 79th Birthday! Clothes will be swapped during Step OUTside Fest, and any clothes remaining after the event will be donated. FogoAzul plays around 4pm! Come down and celebrate!
